VANS is proud to announce the second edition of the best North American skateboard mini ramp contest, the “VANS Backyard Party” presented by EMPIRE. The contest’s focus is to bring together the best skateboard athletes in a friendly backyard party vibe. This invitational event will happen September 20th 2008 at South-Parc on the south shore of Montreal.

This years total prize purse will be $12 000 dollars for the top 3 winners, $ 8 000 for first place, $3 000 for second place, and $1 000 for third place. There will also be two best tricks at a $1 000 each where the money will be given by hundreds to each good tricks.

With the mega success of the first edition in 2007, VANS is not shy to say that this years event will be unavoidable and no one should miss it. Check out last years event HERE and have a feel of what is about to go down for 2008.
